Dr. Stan Hill is the founder of Hill Center for Dermatology, P.C. While the Center opened its doors in February 2005, Dr. Hill has been in the area for quite some time. For seven years he worked in a large dermatology group with offices in Evergreen, Thornton, and Wheat Ridge. He was then recruited to help establish a dermatology department for a large specialty group in Idaho. After this was successfully established, he returned to Colorado. With encouragement from the local medical community, his family, friends, and former patients, he opened his own practice.
Dr. Hill grew up in the West and received degrees in liberal arts, respiratory therapy, and biology. He started medical school at Wake Forest University in North Carolina and finished at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. He completed his internship in internal medicine and residency in dermatology while in Ohio. He was chief resident in the dermatology department, became board eligible in 1997 and passed the exam the same year. Dr. Hill has special interest in skin cancer, other skin growths, acne, and dermatology surgery. He is trained in Mohs surgery and has done 1000's of cases in the true Mohs fashion. Now he does what is referred to as modified Mohs. While this technique is not for all cases, many of the more routine cases can efficiently be treated in this fashion.
Dr. Hill has lectured extensively to professional and civic organizations, and has helped in the health clinic at Colorado School of Mines for 8 years. Dr. Hill is a member of many professional organizations and is honored to be in such a great field surrounded by a fantastic team and great patients.
He is married to a fantastic woman, has two children and enjoys travel, backpacking and adventure. He has a passion and gift for photography and his work can be viewed at www.stanhillphotography.zenfolio.com.
